When we realized that today’s design of artifacts and services and their production and implementation go against the principles of nature, making our lives unsustainable, we decided to look for new solutions.
We want to change the impact and image of design into a sustainable or even regenerative one by learning from the wisdom of nature.
Biomimetic design brings us inspiration; Nature is so intelligent and so sophisticated that it probably possesses everything we need to know in terms of sustainable life.
How can we define innovation? As one of the first academic labs in D&I, we would like to express our attitude towards design through the Biomimetic Design Lab BiDL. Innovation is knowing how to cooperate with nature and stand on the shoulders of nature to create our own life.
