Whether you are a student, an intern, a teacher, or a professional – we would be happy to collaborate with you on biomimetic, sustainable design. Any skills and time investment will be useful and appreciated!

You will simultaneously learn about nature’s strategies for sustainable survival and learn to apply this knowledge into nature-inspired design! And you will be part of a really cool team of divers, enthusiastic individuals!

Here are a few ideas on how you might get involved:

 

Graphic work

Represent biomimetic design
Conceive logos, business cards, door signs, letter heads, etc.
Create newsletters, posters, flyers and other marketing documents
Improve the layout, images, arrangement of the BiDL webpage, create a Chinese version

 

Research work

Research work into improving interdisciplinary, inter-college collaboration methods
Defining biomimetic design fields for D&I and China
Biomimetic Design research projects relating to your design field

 

Design work

Participate in the international Biomimicry Design Challenge with the Tongji team
Practice biomimetic design
Create newsletters, posters, flyers and other marketing documents
Improve the BiDL webpage, create a Chinese version

 

Study work

Learn about Biomimetic Design
Study existing biomimetic designs in order to create educative case studies
Understand and Translate biomimicry-related texts
Participate in the Tongji team for the international Biomimicry Design Challenge

 

Text work

Create newsletters, posters, flyers and other marketing documents
Write and maintain the BiDL blog
Translate biomimicry-related texts, EN to CN and vice-versa
Improve the written content of the BiDL webpage, create a Chinese version

 

Teaching work

Be a teaching assistant in Biomimetic Design teaching
Prepare teaching content for biomimetic design teaching

 

Management work

Organize and carry out events, like B>Hives, lectures, forums, trainings, etc.
Maintain BiDL databases, such as book libraries, material libraries, contact sheets,
Write and maintain the BiDL blog
Translate biomimicry-related texts, EN to CN and vice-versa
